More Shootings in the NO-K

More gun play rang out in the NO-K Coral, this time involving a dispute between some 14 year olds near 36th and Fort. One youth was shot in the leg, and he had been the victim of a drive by a few months earlier which says don’t stand next to this kid. No arrests have been made yet as we wouldn’t want to snitch.

3  seventeen year olds were arrested at (GASP) Millard North Friday on drug charges. One male for intent to deliver, one female for possession of marijuana and one other for possession of marijuana and 2 other prescription drugs. Our guess is someone was trying to make a few bucks off mom’s Prozac. It is Millard after all.

More comments in the morning addition and Mongo said he was working on a few items for tomorrow.

Uninvited Guests at NO-K Coral Party Results in Shooting

A party near 49th and Bedford was the scene of our latest shooting. A youth was shot in the abdomen and another in the hand after some uninvited guests showed up at the party and an argument ensued.

Police heard more shots a few blocks away but couldn’t locate the source.

There is another shooting death in the Metro. This time it happened in a convenience store on the West end of Carter Lake around 10 p.m. last night. No other details have been released.

A Day Care Director has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation into the dislocation of a 2 year old’s elbow. The directors lawyer claims it was an accident (Don’t you normally call the parents when a child is hurt in an accident, not send the child home to let the parents figure out they are injured?) however a day care worker had called the parents and said she witnessed the Director dragging the child into the bathroom by it’s arm and slamming the door. We are starting to think the accident was hiring this person, but that’s just us.

Handshake Hal is throwing in the towel after a short 2 week campaign for Senate. He has scheduled a press conference for 9 a.m. this morning.

The Papio NRD is again asking the legislature for bonding authority so they can fleece more tax money to build some more dam’s. This is the same group that gave 1 million to the Bridge to Nowhere project. What that bridge has to do with flood control is beyond me but this group is the biggest bunch of money wasting people you have ever seen. Lets try and keep the purse strings tied shut. Bonding authority would almost give them open season on our checkbooks. Some State Senators are asking the same questions we have , maybe someone will look out for us this time.

3 8th graders were suspended from Lewis and Clark middle school for making threats on a radio show. The threats involved another student they believed to have snitched on the student that was caught with a gun in his backpack. School officials blame peer pressure for the student having the gun however on the audio of the radio show the girls claim he was really mad and it was gang related. Who knows.

This weekend the Huskers take on Iowa State. After last weeks booing session, lets hope tackling drills were a focus at practice this week.

Also River City Round-up continues this weekend at the Qwest Center. The Annual Parade through downtown starts Saturday at 10 a.m.

Thursday Afternoon Update from Mongo

Hey everyone else is busy so I said I’d sit in and do this.

A Cass County Judge refused to reduce the bail amount from $100,000 to $50,000 for Travis Meisinger in the beating of Tony Premo. Travis will have to stay in jail unless someone can come up with 10% or 10 grand for all you math majors and not the 5 grand, or the value of the Meisinger trailer, as he had hoped for. Too bad.

A 40 year old Eagle Nebraska man was found burned in his Bronco along Hwy. 43 early this morning near Eagle. No cause of death has been released.

Law enforcement has announced a crackdown on adults buying alcohol for minors. The next year watch for stepped up efforts in reducing teenage parties and stores that sell to minors.

Speaking of law enforcement, how about our own OPD and the fact that they had arrested 2 shooting suspects BEFORE they even knew they had victims. Thats the way to get it done. Hopefully they can catch the guy that shot the shit out of the door at 25th and Kansas Ave.

There was a rumor that the man and door were members of rival gangs and the door flipped him the deadbolt closed signal and it was on. Boots called that in and I told him to stop talking to someone who’s smoked more than 3lbs of weed in 2 hours.

And a report of another women being attacked near Cunningham Lake Tuesday night makes me ask the question, and not to say anything like she deserved it, but what in god’s name were you doing running down 75th and Lake Cunningham Road at 10 p.m. ? Seriously, I’m a firm believer in ripping off the testicles of any man that would rape a woman but you gotta use some common sense people. At least Jog in pairs, carry a big stick, run with a mean dog, something …but don’t help these sick sonofabitches by running down a dark road late at night with a ditch to hide in. Didn’t you watch any 80’s horror movies ? More Gunfire in the No-K Coral

Is there no end to this. More shots ran out in the No-K Coral district Thursday morning at at least nine rounds were pumped into the door of a home near 25th and Kansas Ave.

Few details have been released other than Ernie Chambers is preparing a lawsuit blaming the door for causing the person to walk up and shoot it.

No truth to the rumor that all the recent gunfire was in celebration of River City Round-up.

I could care less is she made a plea deal to not have this drawn out in court, that’s the chance you take when you admit you did it.

The other issue is these parents and former players of Coach Kiddy Porn running to defend him because he guided them in their athletic achievements and got them a college ride. Woo Hoo that makes it all better. Hit was getting his kicks on Route under six and that is a crime. What a day yesterday turned out to be. Two hot topics ran neck and neck on here for most of the day, both written by Mongo Torrey. Topping the charts was the Knocking on heavens door post followed by the Mike Govig story. He told us last night he may have a follow up on the Govig piece because of the great mix of love-hate mail he is getting.

Muppet Mike says he would like to avoid a vote on the new downtown stadium. Go figure. Are your worried the people would tell you to stay where you are and put the money in the place we’ve been fixing up already? But Father knows best for us. Kinda like that undersized hotel he built to go with the convention center. Biggest complaint of people looking to hold a convention here…Not a big enough Hotel attached to the facility so everyone can stay at the same place. Who changed the design ? Why Muppet Mike and Mayor Paul.

If your set on building a new ballpark make sure you get it right the first time. Don’t build it so we have to drop millions in after 5 years because you went to small.

A construction worker is thanking his lucky stars after a trench of mud caved in on him yesterday and buried him alive. Thanks to the fast thinking of his co-workers and the fact he had on a hard hat that allowed him to create an air pocket to breathe he escaped pretty much unharmed.

School officials blame peer pressure on the fact a youth brought a loaded gun to school Tuesday.(We blame stupidity) No-one was harmed and thanks to the great work of a resource officer things were under control very early in the story.

The shooting spree in Omaha continues, this time a man was shot in the leg and found near 12th and G Street.That’s just South of Rosenblatt. Hope this guy shot wasn’t the mystery architect for the save Rosenblatt group otherwise we’d think it was a professional job. A hour later police returned to the area to find another man shot. The two men had been sitting at a stop sign when 2 other people approached and demanded money. 2 arrests have been made. We lost count on the number of shootings in the Metro area this year.

And get ready for another round of tax valuations. Assessors are making the rounds in parts of the city now so if your on the radar, hide the good stuff under a tarp and pull your curtains.

Lewis and Clark Middle School Administration sent home a letter Tuesday informing parents that a student was found with a gun in his backpack. Reports indicate he said he was “holding it for an older friend”.

Interesting twist in the Tony Premo story. A 21 year old Plattsmouth man was arrested for first degree sexual assault of a 14 year old girl at the Premo residence the night before the attack on Mr. Premo. Authorities say the cases are unrelated. We’d love to know what the 14 year old was doing out early in the morning and after seeing the mug shot of the accused we’d like to know who cut his hair and if its to late to get his money back.

Hey its gonna be like Vegas by the ole Pedestrian Bridge. The city Council voted to authorise the use of $227,850 for a sculpture near the Footbridge to a Vacant Lot. The sculpture will be imported from Japan and will be a fiber wave (hopefully of a hand giving the taxpayers the finger, nice touch for this project) set in a fountain that people can get into. (Translation, Bathtub for the homeless River Rats.) The money for the sculpture is said to be coming from private funds from the group “Back to the River”.

And finally, all sorts of crime numbers are going around however our Police Chief says we are a relatively safe city compared with a few dozen cities our size. OK Chief if you say so. Just like a peaceful Saturday morning who’s silence is broken by the ringing of the doorbell,only to be greeted by a roving group of religious recruiters, now they are attacking my email with fund-raising efforts.

First I know my email address was gleened from the O.M.A.H.A. database as I had received various solicitations for hockey camps and other get togethers, and I’m not at all happy about that going around but the other day I got a flyer for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Outing. First, I don’t golf though I might give it a shot for this event just so I can whack a few of the organizers in the head with a little white ball.

Second, I’m not christian.

Believe in what you want to believe in, I don’t care, just keep it to yourself. I don’t give a poop if its Jesus, Allah,Budda or the Church of the One Eyed Dog Named Lucky, it’s your deal not mine, stop trying to push it on everyone else.

I know a bunch of you are going to come uncorked because you think I am bashing your beliefs, I’m not. I am asking you to respect mine and everyone elses. Stop sending junk email for your pet causes before I start taking your email address and using it on every porn site on the internet. You wanna see some junk email, have someone pull that on you. (Being the asshole that I am, I have had that trick pulled on me a few times. Kudo’s to the person that thought that up.)

I’m sure your little organization is a good cause and your a great bunch to hang out with when your not passing out little notes on who to vote for in an election, however, if I had wanted to spend time with you walking around and telling everyone how spiritual I was, we would have done it by now. A sixteen year old boy is dead after gunfire rang out again in the NO-K Coral area Monday. People heard at least nine shots near 33rd and Fowler. Several people rushed to the aid of the youth who had been shot 5 times in the back. The youth later died at Creighton Medical Center.

3 hours later shots rang out a few blocks away hitting a passing car. Also another man was shot near 27th and Fort while sitting in a car.

In a related story the FBI reports that violent crime is up in Omaha by 7.6 percent.

The Omaha Royals have jumped on the downtown stadium bandwagon. The save Rosenblatt group vows to continue to fight to save the stadium. With few real details being released by the Mayors office about the new plan we find it interesting that all these people are coming forward claiming the downtown park is a good plan.

Muppet Mike and Company are in DC looking at their ballpark and how it can impact the North Downtown area. Wonder if he will go back to South O and see how removing the ballpark will impact that area after this is over.

This has been one ugly day………

Where do we start ?

HA ! Word from our friend down at Sandpiper is that people were out boating this last weekend. We guess he was right, the river came back up enough to get the boats out and the people that were all up in arms were new boaters that didn’t know “shit”. Boat on!!!!

A man chased down another man at 24th and Leavenworth last night and ironed him out in the parking lot of a quick mart. Problem was a police officer saw the entire thing as well as a dozen hookers, two drug dealers and several rats. Hope that $10 loan the guy owed was worth the rest of his life in jail.

Another shooting over the weekend in the NO-K Coral. This time a man was shot in his wrist. We thought that only happened in Western Movies. Guess we were wrong. That or the guy was playing with his gun and it went off but that is a whole nother joke.

A 25 year old teacher was sent to prison for 1st degree sexual assault after being convicted for having a number of sexual encounters with a 15 year old student at a private school in Omaha. Brandy Reynolds ,25 of Fremont, is said to have taken the boy to her apartment in Fremont for a little one on one sex ed classes. Here is the best part of this story. One of Brandy’s supporters said “The only reason she is getting prison time is the judge didn’t know her. She is the sweetest girl I know. She is a good person”. Abbi, good people don’t have sexual relations with minors dear. Pull your head out of the sand and shut up. Besides, by the time she gets out of jail the kids will be of age and they can rekindle the romance then.

Husker Defensman Steve Octavien said about Husker fans booing at the game ” Were the ones putting in the hard work, they are just at the game cheering. If they don’t like it, they don’t have to watch” He has since rethought thoes words. Here’s an idea Steve. If you don’t want the fans, that make you playing football here possible by coming to the game and having their money support all sports at Nebraska, booing. Then teach the other guys on defense to tackle. See Steve, Husker fans remember when the “Blackshirts” could hit like a freight train. Teams came into Lincoln and limped out, not ran up over 600 yards of offense. If you stop them they will cheer.

You tried to take part in the rape of Tenna Brandon except your little pecker went lame and you failed to close the deal. You may or may not have pulled the trigger but you were involved, so enjoy fabulous Tecumseh for the rest of your life.

The Huskers pulled out a nail bitter 41-40 over Ball State this afternoon. Sam Keller was stellar in the win, with the defense showing up only for a few plays. Coach Callahan should pull all the blackshirts until someone can learn to tackle and Grixby learns to look for the ball.

What to do with Coach Pervert

I was reading the story about former Creighton Asst. Softball coach Mike Govig and his insasuable appetite for looking at pictures and video of children performing acts of the most heinous nature. I know the world is full of the perverted monsters who prey on our children to satisfy there horrific need to get their rockers off at an abusive cost to the minors involved. What has to be wrong with these people upstairs.

It sounds as if this man helped identify where to look in his house and on his computers to authority’s so he knew what he had been looking at. He spent hundreds of dollars to procure the pictures and items in question and had viewed them enough to apparently give play by play to investigators.

Pen this sick bastard up in a cell with no less that 4 300lb inmates that haven’t smelled no less had a piece of ass in 5 years and like him be the abused one for awhile and see how he likes it.

This is a man that people trusted with their daughters when he was a Coach at a local high school. Though they said none of the videos appeared local, how long before this Internet pervert would have tried to lure one of his team members into his lair. Thank god ICE agents got him when they did. But there is a chance he will be released with an electronic monitoring device and he is to have no contact with anyone under 18. How about we make that device a 25,000 volt shock collar and let a few parents of kids that have been sexually abused have a go at the zap button.

What the hell would possess a man, any man to get his kicks watching a less than 10 year old perform a sex act on anyone much less an adult. Call me cruel but in my humble opinion, let the army use these sick fucks for live target practice. I can hear the peace, love , hug a tree crowd yelling at me  Oh no he is a human being as well, he needs help, we must work with him.  Screw that. The only help he needs is a shove off a cliff somewhere. People like him help fund the destruction of the lives of countless children around the globe, its time to cut the customer base and quickly. Anyone who contributes to this industry for the pleasure of twisting one off in front of their computer screen needs to have their protruding member slammed into the CD rom tray so hard its forever known as a floppy drive.

The law says he can get close to 20 years in prison, lets hope he gets just that and its 20 of the most abusive years of his life. Then when he get released and is just a broken down tired old pervert, lets hope he slips getting on the bus home and falls under the tires, never to touch a computer again.

This stuff happens all the time anymore with people we trust our kids with. Parents, we need to keep a more watchful eye and pay attention to little details. We cannot expect the police to catch all these sick bastards, but we can try and do our best to keep our kids more than a safe distance away.

Creighton Assistant Softball coach Mike Govig was charged with possession of child porn in files unsealed in Federal Court today. Govig had numerous files on computers seized from him home in LaVista of child porn. Govig is the former Head Softball Coach at Papillion LaVista and led the team to several State Titles. Now it looks as if he is off to Federal Prison. Govig apparently paid up to $99 a month to subscribe to a web site with child porn. And people wonder why we ask so many questions about coaches on here. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

In an update from an earlier story, an Omaha woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI, causing serious injury, and leaving the scene after she rolled her car 3 times trying to flee from police. Her passenger a 17 year old was ejected from the car and an UNRESTRAINED 3 year old was not injured. Police spotted the woman driving by the house of a man who has a protection order on her, then she drove the wrong way down Ames. (She is a graduate of the Jodi Reeder Drunk Driving Academy). She was arrested a short time after the accident.

And the NCAA said it would prefer the New Downtown Stadium idea for the College World Series. An NCAA spokesman was quoted as saying “Who cares what the people want, make em build us a new park, this is better than stupid pet tricks”. More on this later.

Huskers face Ball State this weekend. Lets hope someone found some ball’s to tackle.

Roll Over Crash Sends Woman and Baby to Hospital

An early morning crash near 34 th and Grand sent a woman and baby to the hospital and a 3 occupant running from the scene.

A witness said she saw the car roll over a fence three times before landing right side up. One of the occupants was ejected from the car while the other person ran West on Grand and disappeared between some houses. No word on the condition of the the injured.

How fast do you have to be going to roll a Taurus 3 times ? In a residential neighborhood ? With a baby in the car in the middle of the night? And why would you run from the scene without trying to help the baby? We bet there is a lot to this story once more details come out.

When it goes to trial, one sells out the other to keep his hillbilly ass out of old smokey. Now he wants to confess that he did the shooting and the other guy he said pulled the trigger just watched because his gun jammed.

Tie these two retards together outside the Max wearing ass-less chaps on bull dyke and strap-on night and give them a dose of what they deserve. Then when they can sit again, throw the switch and watch them twitch.
