Another person has been arrested in the area for manufacturing Child Porn, this time a contract Janitor at Central Police Headquarters.

Police serving a search warrant on the home of Kimmer Houston were looking for drugs, they found some on another man in the house. They also found pictures in a toolbox in the basement of the home.

County Attorney Don Klien says his office is seeing an increased number of these cases.

Kind of along the same page, the father of a 12 year old middle school girl is telling parents to monitor your children’s internet use after another parent discovered messages from his daughter that she may have been raped by a 16 year old boy and is to scared to come forward. Another parent discovered the messages on their child myspace account and contacted the girls father. Police are investigating the alleged rape.

A 25 year old Omaha woman called police from the trunk of her car in Elmwood Park. The woman claims she was in a minor accident at 72nd and Pacific and when she got out she was forced in her trunk and driven to the park where police found her car and freed her. Some story’s make you just want to ask alot of questions don’t they?

State Patrol officers had a good week in the drug enforcement department. Traffic stops netted over 100lbs of pot, some cocaine, some meth and the discovery of a pot growing operation in DeKalb Ill. Apparently some dumb ass had digital pictures of the indoor pot plantation and they were discovered after a patrol officer busted him and his friend transporting some weed and a couple plants across the country.

Now word if the Governor is going to sign the bill renaming I-80 the Cheech and Chong Turnpike.

Remember we asked it here first now someone else did as well. There are some concerns about the new site for the Baseball stadium. In a memo to the EPA city covenants rule out construction of and athletic field, daycare or nursing home at the location of the former Union Pacific shops. City Attorney Paul Kratz said soil removal from the location is included in the estimate and that a foot of soil will be scraped and dumped in Elmwood park next to the sounding stones.(Just kidding, he didn’t say that he said they would find a place in Elkhorn for it.)

And every-ones money guru Warren Buffet says we are in a recession even though the economic indicators don’t completely show it yet. Some estimate gas could hit $4 a gallon this summer though that was predicted last year as well. Hope they get that bridge over the Missouri done soon so we can all pack a napsack and vacation at Casa de C.B. riverside.

Back later with more

  1. The parent telling you to monitor you kids on the web is right. My kid set up a MySpace page and lucky for me I discovered it and kept an eye on things. There is some crazy stuff out there people, you need to be on guard all the time. I pulled the plug on her page months ago and eliminated texting from her phone as well because she was doing it during school hours.
She had much older boys contacting her on myspace and speaking in an inapproprate nature. Dont facilitate the fiends.

  2. New Slogan: Al Gore’s Internet, Helping sick and demented people get in touch with your kids.
We parents need to do a better job protecting our youth from the garbage that is readily available on the internet. Parents, take some classes and learn how to protect your kids. Most of them will have more know how than you by the time they are twelve unless you take some steps to be proactive. Keep computers in family areas where you can see their screens. You pay the bills. Make sure that they know that they have no right to privacy! Check their phone for txt messages. Check their e-mail address and regularly check where they are going on the web. Install software that helps protect them from ending up on sites that they shouldn’t be on. Use complex passwords of 8 characters or more that include upper case, lowercase, numbers or characters to secure this software. That will help keep them accountable for where they go on the web and what they do. If you don’t they might find a video of the Polecats on the web, doing their latest routine!

  5. Remember who called in the shot first I said it made you want to start asking more questions…that story sounded like a CSI I watched in reruns a week ago. Pays to be sick, sometimes it makes you a smart crimefighter. Misty Fellows ? Wow where do the jokes start there?
