Good point Bugs.
It would be like staying at a Super 8 all the time but expecting the points at Marriott as well. If $50 is the discouraging factor for this guy then he would be in for some serious sticker shock if his kid made the team and he had to shell out the dough it cost. Bakers has Kraft Mac and Cheese 10/buck, there might be the place to start.

No Don it’s a break for family’s that played in the organization, much like in state rates at a college. However if 50 bucks is the deal breaker to try out for a team with a budget around 7k then I am guessing your not in that league anyway and we will be listening to you rant about High School Hockey.
And the President isn’t the say all do all for an FYI. He only gets to vote to break a tie so you might want to look at the other Board Members as well.

Will Mr Kraus adjust the try out fees? Jr Lancer try out fee is $100 for players who played O.M.A.H.A. last year and $150 for those players who didn’t play O.M.A.H.A. Are they discouraging players from Lincoln, Fremont, or best yet, Gladiators. Is the team already picked?

Although I would be prepared Day 1, I am choosing not to be a candidate for an OMAHA office because I am bitter, clinging to my love guns and revolutionary religion. I have the hockey experience necessary. Like the time I skated onto the ice under slap shot fire or the time that I created peace between the Mavericks and the Gladiators. Worse yet, if my phone rings at 3:00 am it better be a booty call from a hot hockey mom instead of the threat of war from Osama ben-en Al Ways Will be-Jerk Hockey Pop.

Skaters, united, will never be defeated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some reader email comments on Mr Krauss:

He works for Bank of the West, managing two branches and several people. He also served as Associate Travel Director under Jack Anderson. I think he’s as qualified as anybody to fulfill this presidency and the fact that he’s willing to, puts him ahead of most of us. I know it was a big decision for him to run. Obviously, he wanted to make sure he could dedicate the time it takes to do that job effectively and he wanted 100% commitment from his family too. He’s put alot of thought into his decision.

He has a son playing at the Peewee level this next season.

He ran for the Travel Director post in the last election but wasn’t included on the note passers list of chosen ones.

Great person. In it for ALL the kids not just his own.
